Our Featured Person...Cindy Baird

Cindy Baird is an accomplished long-arm machine quilter as well as a pattern designer, teacher and overall quilt enthusiast. In addition to her long-arm quilting business, she is active in the Quilts of Valor project, www.qovf.org a foundation that makes quilts for physically and psychologically wounded service members. Thus far the nationwide organization has made and awarded over 57,000 quilts to these brave men and women.

Cindy is also involved in Home of the Brave quilts, www.homeofthebravequilts.com a grassroots foundation that makes quilts for families of fallen soldiers. She also finds time to donate her quilting skills to Project Linus. These are quilts made by area women for sick, traumatized and injured children. "An Amish Experience" by Cindy Baird
The very essence of an Amish quilt, this design offers lots of open space to showcase quilting. The striking 76” x 76” quilt was designed, made and quilted by Cindy Baird for VOGIES Patterns. It is also currently featured in Keepsake Quilting Summer Preview 2012 issue.”
